About Us

Hi. This is the part of the website where we’re supposed to sound impressive, mysterious, and mildly life-changing. We’ll do our best.

Welcome to Studio Yakisoba, an art-forward experiment disguised as an ecommerce store, where slightly unusual ideas are given a place to exist.

Founded by Shane Wylmer Vaz, Studio Yakisoba exists because art deserves more than just hanging quietly on a wall, waiting for someone to nod at it thoughtfully. We think it should show up in your life; in the objects you use, the things you keep around, the items that feel oddly you for reasons you can’t fully explain.

That's where Yaya comes in: resident artist, primary creative engine, and current supplier of all things whimsical, strange, and quietly delightful. If you’ve seen something here that made you pause, smile, or tilt your head slightly in curiosity, that’s probably Yaya’s doing.

The mission? Simple-ish. Take original art and give it more places to live. Turn it into objects that feel a little more you. The idea is to take raw concepts and give them form. To turn imagination into something you can hold, wear, or stumble across in your daily routine.

Right now, it’s just us; Shane building the thing, Yaya making the thing. Over time, the plan is to open things up: more artists, more perspectives, more beautifully peculiar creations finding their way into the mix.

Not everything needs to be serious. Some things just need to exist because they make life a bit more interesting.

Studio Yakisoba: adding a small but noticeable amount of whimsy to your timeline since… well, now.

Thanks for being part of it.
